Vanessa White drink

Vanessa White drink
Vanessa White drink, To be in shape for The Saturday’s upcoming tour, band member Vanessa White has announced that she has given up alcohol. Putting down the liquor bottle is not the only thing that White wants to do before the ‘All Fired Up’ concert tour in the United Kingdom in December.

White announced that she also plans to get on a diet so that she can be in the best of shapes for the concert.

The 22-year-old announced that, “I have a trainer, so we do half an hour on the treadmill and a bit of body pump, followed by cardio and some work on the Power Plate. I can’t drink alcohol from now on. When I’m on tour, it’s my most sensible time. We eat really healthily because we have caterers, which means loads of veg, brown rice and salmon for energy.”

The singer revealed that she is concerned about her height so she refuses to go to the stage if she doesn’t have a high heel shoe. During an interview with the Closer magazine, the 5ft 1in singer said that she did not have that consciousness at first but she does mind lately. She is the shortest in the group.

The ‘All Fired Up’ UK tour is one of the biggest for the band this year.

Navy 64 sailors for drug use

Navy 64 sailors for drug use
Navy 64 Sailors For Drug Use, A month after kicking out 64 sailors for using synthetic marijuana, the Navy announced Monday that another 28 are getting the boot for similar infractions. The 28 sailors — all from the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan were caught red-handed, according to a Navy news release.

The dismissal announcement reinforces recent military campaigns to stop troops from smoking fake pot, often called Spice, a catch-all name for a designer drug that mimics the effect of marijuana. The message: Use Spice and face court-martial.

On Oct. 20, the Navy announced that 64 sailors from the San-Diego based aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson, the USS San Francisco and the USS Arco would be separated from the Navy for Spice use and distribution.

The Navy launched a new campaign earlier this month emphasizing the potential harmful side effects and unregulated nature of Spice.

“Spice causes elevated blood pressure, tremor, seizures, vomiting, abdominal pain and more,” according to Navy Medicine’s website.

The Marine Corps is encouraging tipsters to report suspected Spice use to command officials, while the Air Force airs warnings about the legal repercussions for those caught with synthetic marijuana.

Adolf Hitler parents lose fourth child

Adolf Hitler parents lose fourth child, Parents of boy named Adolf Hitler lose custody of their fourth child because of psychological disabilities.

Heath and Deborah Campbell, the New Jersey parents of three children with Nazi-inspired names, lost custody of their fourth child 17 hours after he was born, the Express-Times of Lehigh Valley, Pa., reported. Hons Campbell was taken into custody by the New Jersey Division of Youth and Family Services late Thursday night after the doctor who delivered the baby called the agency, the paper reported. adolf hitler parents custody,

“There’s no legal binding court order. It’s basically a kidnapping, but they use different terms,” Heath Campbell told the Express-Times.

The Campbell family stepped into the spotlight in December 2008 when a ShopRite grovery store declined to decorate a birthday cake for their son Adolf Hitler Campbell’s third birthday.

The state took custody of Adolf, along with his sisters JoyceLynn Aryan Nation Campbell and Honszlynn Himler Jeannie Campbell, in January of 2009. The three children have remained in foster care ever since. adolf hitler  Joycelynn Aryan Nation Honszlynn Hinler Jeannie,

A DYFS spokesperson told ABCNews.com in 2009 that she could not comment on a specific case, but said children are only taken into custody if there is a suspicion of abuse or neglect.

“We would never remove a child simply based on their name,” the spokeswoman said.

Neighbor Lori Dilts told ABCNews.com at the time the children were taken that it was certainly not because of their names. adolf hitler aryan nation psychological disabilities

“Those children look outwardly healthy, but they didn’t have much freedom,” Dilts said. “Occasionally, the little boy would come over here and would hate having to go back to his house.”

The couple’s attorney, Pasquale Giannetta, told The Associated Press that a court a hearing has been scheduled for Monday to determine the custody status of the newborn.

What Thanksgiving Dinner Does to Your Health

What Thanksgiving Dinner Does to Your Health, Along with Thanksgiving dinner comes our ability to consume inhuman amounts of food at a single meal. While gluttony is certainly in season, you can make the meal a little healthier with a few tweaks to the menu. Here are a few tips to help keep your Turkey Day consumption in check. Thanksgiving dinner consumption + 5,000 calories, Healthy alternatives to Thanksgiving dinner,

Turkey The star attraction of the day is actually one of the healthier items on your plate, so don’t be shy about taking an extra helping. If you stick with white meat without the skin, a serving only has about 150 calories and less than a gram of fat. As for all the T-Day talk about tryptophan, don’t fall for it.

“It’s the sheer quantity of food that people eat on Thanksgiving that puts them in that sleepy food coma, not the little bit of tryptophan you’re getting in the turkey,” notes Tara Gidus, RD, a nutritionist in Orlando. low calorie turkey baste, tryptophan turkey not enough to make you sleepy, turkey + white meat vs.dark meat,Portion size for roast turkey + 3.5 oz. + deck of cards,
Gravy The good news is that this turkey, mashed potato and stuffing accompaniment isn’t all that bad for you. While it can be a bit greasy, it’s mostly just juices from the bird plus a little flour or cornstarch for thickening. It will, however, be pretty high in sodium, so don’t add any extra salt (and if you’re watching your sodium intake, you might have to skimp on gravy). tips for making healthy turkey gravy, How to separate fat from turkey drippings, Turkey gravy + serving size + quarter cup,
Mashed potatoes Although the white variety sometimes gets a bad rap, potatoes aren’t really the problem here. With mashed potatoes, the unhealthy culprits are all the high-fat, high-calorie stuff you add to the basic spuds. Mix in a stick of butter, whole milk (or even heavy cream in some recipes!), and you’ve got a side dish that can deliver in the neighborhood of 10 grams of fat per serving-spoon-full. Reducing calories in mashed potatoes, white potatoes + health benefits, Yukon gold + best potatoes for mashed potatoes,
Sweet potato casserole While it’s hard to quantify the total damage without seeing your secret family recipe for this Thanksgiving concoction, it’s pretty safe to assume that this dish is packing quite a whollop. The sweet potatoes themselves are innocent participants but once they meet up with a couple of cups of brown sugar, some butter, and a bag of mini marshmallows, those potatoes are now super high in calories, fat and sugar. low-fat topping options for sweet potato casserole, Yam + rarely found in U.S. + called sweet potato, health benefits of sweet potatoes,
Stuffing Again, the real issue here isn’t the basic ingredient (in this case, bread) but what else you add to it “In order to make it moist, people add things that are high in fat—like oil or butter,” says Gidus. Add that’s before they toss in the other really high-fat extras like sausage. The better approach is to skip the high-cal, high-fat add-ins and opt for ones that are lower in both fat and calories, provide a little extra nutrition, and spread out the bread a bit so that the overall dish is lower in calories. Vegetables + stuffing, rice alternative to stuffing, Stuffing vs. dressing + inside or alongside the bird,
Dinner rolls With all the yummy stuff on the table, you need to include this filler of a dish on your menu? Really? But if it’s tradition to have a basket of rolls on your Thanksgiving table—and you can’t mess with tradition on this sacred holiday—then at least look for a better option than crescents that are packed with extra butter. Muffins + whole wheat + reduced carbs + dinner rolls, dinner rolls for thanksgiving, dinner rolls for thanksgiving
Cranberry relish With just 50 calories and zero fat (other health benefits) per serving, this zesty side dish is a relatively safe way to indulge your sweet tooth. But beware that you really are feeding your sweet tooth — all the added sugars can total about 13 grams per serving. “Cranberries are incredibly tart, so you don’t have much choice but to add a bunch of sugar to them,” says Gidus. Her advice: Use it as a compliment to add some refreshing sweetness to your plate of savories, but don’t overindulge. cranberry relish spices + allspice, cloves, fresh cranberries + more nutrients and higher fiber than canned,
Green bean casserole It’s great that there is some small amount of green veggies showing up at your Thanksgiving feast, but if you drown those poor little green beans in a fat-laden sauce (made with cream of mushroom soup and sour cream), top them with fried onions and then bake the life out of them, you’re kind of missing the point. “Having a green vegetable adds important antioxidants to your meal and they can be a low-calorie addition to an otherwise highly caloric occasion,” says Gidus. Healthy green bean casserole, Benefits of green vegetables,
Pumpkin Pie No self-respecting Thanksgiving celebration could possibly end without the requisite slice (or two or three) of pumpkin pie. But know that that indulgence is adding at least another 300 calories and 14 grams of fat per slice to an already over-the-top meal. Pumpkin on its own is actually really good for you but once you blend in enough sugar to make it a sweet treat and stuff it into a crust made with butter (or worse yet, shortening), all that goodness is pretty much cancelled out. lowering fat content in pumpkin pie

Sex Pistols graffiti

Sex Pistols graffiti
Sex Pistols graffiti, Archaeologists say they are studying the graffiti of the punk band Sex Pistols which is found in London. The scientists believe that studying the graffiti could be as important as studying ancient markings.

The image was drawn on the walls of the London flat which was once occupied by the band. The scholars involved in the study of the artwork say they consider the piece as a strong piece of history which could offer a valuable insight into the group which was formed in the 1970s.

University of York’s John Schofield at the Department of Archaeology told reporters that, “The tabloid press once claimed that early Beatles recordings discovered at the BBC were the most important archaeological find since Tutankhamun’s tomb. The Sex Pistols’ graffiti in Denmark Street surely ranks alongside this and - to our minds - usurps it.”

The researchers say the graffiti were mostly made by John Lydon (Johnny Rotten). There are about 8 cartoons and they depict Johnny and the other band members.

The researchers have published their findings of the graffiti study in the journal Antiquity.

The Sex Pistols depicted themselves as rebel group and they famously swore on television about 35 years ago.

Men take longer than women to get ready

Men take longer than women to get ready
Men take longer than women to get ready, Debenhams, the second largest department chain in the UK, conducted a study last month to see how long it takes British men to groom themselves. The verdict? men in the UK will take longer than women to get ready during the holidays by an average of 14 minutes.

“Sales of male grooming products have soared by 141 percent in the run up to Christmas, but it’s not only women treating their men, but image-conscious men wanting to look at their best at the social occasion of the year,” Sara Stern, Debenhams’ cosmetics director, said in a statement.

The department store attributed the results to British celebrities, such as David Beckham, that are famous for their “metro” look, which includes hair styling, grooming and spa services. Men also tend to procrastinate more than women, leaving big decisions – such as what to wear – for the last minute.

The survey also differentiated between getting ready for a night out, or just for an average day. Men doubled, sometimes tripled, their time getting ready when it was for a special occasion. The findings showed that British men spent 19 minutes on their hair, compared to 12 minutes every day; took a 21-minute shower, versus 10 minutes every day; and spent 28 minutes on treatments and grooming instead of 9 minutes on any other day.

The idea of a “metro” man has definitely spread to British men. Almost 35 percent said manicures and pedicures were part of their daily regimen, and more than 50 percent said they’ve had a facial. Treatments such as waxing, threading and tinting eyebrows were also topics of discussion, with 29 percent admitting to having the beauty work done.

“Our findings indicate that women seem to get ready faster than men as they see the process as a social event. Getting ready for the Christmas party is a communal, bonding activity,” Stern said.

Prince Philip Blasts ‘Useless’ Wind Farms

Prince Philip Blasts ‘Useless’ Wind Farms
Prince Philip Blasts ‘Useless’ Wind Farms, Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh, has deemed wind farms as “absolutely useless” and “an absolute disgrace,” the Sunday Telegraph reported.

“He said they were absolutely useless, completely reliant on subsidies and an absolute disgrace,” Infinergy senior executive Esbjorn Wilmar told the newspaper.

Infinergy is a company that builds and operates turbines.

Wilmar met Prince Philip, the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, at a reception in London, where the prince also reportedly said onshore wind farms would never work as they need back-up capacity.

He also shunned Wilmar’s point that wind farms were one of the most cost-effective forms of renewable energy.

“You don’t believe in fairy tales, do you?’” Wilmar said Prince Philip had responded, and even told him to stay away from his estate when Wilmar suggested the prince could place wind farms on his land.

Kids wreck home with flour

Kids Destroy Home Flour - A video showing the aftermath of two young boys who destroyed a family’s living room while playing with a five pound bag of flour is going viral after their mother posted the ‘oh my gosh’ moment on YouTube.

The footage was uploaded to the video sharing website by Mtmuzic, who lists her name as Mary.

The description reads: “Mommy was not feeling well and had to stay in the bathroom longer than usual during which my two boys, ages 1 and 3 took my new bag of flour out of the cupboard and destroyed my house.

This is from one 5lb bag. Don’t believe me? Hand a full bag to a 3 year old and see what happens.”
The debate is on over where this is the “most mild-mannered mother on earth,” or if she has lost her mind, or was the incident faked by the woman for viral attention.

The uniformity of the ‘spread of the flour’ in some parts of the living room has commenter’s on YouTube screaming foul. The uploader disabled the comments after nearly a hundred thousand people viewed the video sparking hundreds of comments questioning its authenticity, as well as the mother’s ‘passive reaction’ to a situation that might push others over the edge.

Mary writes, “I agree, it looks like I totally was a passive parent here. It looks like I don’t parent at all! It is just that I was in complete shock. I came out of the bathroom in shock, walked through the flour on the floor to get my camera, went back to the bathroom, took a deep breath and started to video. After I videotaped this I sat down and cried. My mother-in-law (God Bless Her) came over to help me clean. (Thanks Mom) Zachary did fall on the flour and busted his lip open though

Inmates using social networks to harass victims

Inmates using social networks to harass victims - Lisa Gesik hesitates to log into her Facebook account nowadays because of unwanted "friend" requests, not from long-ago classmates but from the ex-husband now in prison for kidnapping her and her daughter.

Neither Gesik nor prison officials can prove her ex-husband is sending her the messages, which feature photos of him wearing his prison blues and dark sunglasses, arms crossed as he poses in front of a prison gate. It doesn't matter if he's sending them or someone else is — the Newport, Ore., woman is afraid and, as the days tick down to his January release, is considering going into hiding with her 12-year-old daughter. inmates harass victims social networks,

"It's just being victimized all over again," she said.

Across the U.S. and beyond, inmates are using social networks and the growing numbers of smartphones smuggled into prisons and jails to harass their victims or accusers and intimidate witnesses. California corrections officials who monitor social networking sites said they have found many instances in which inmates taunted victims or made unwanted sexual advances. inmates using cell phones to access facebook harass victims, inmates harass victims facebook,

Like Gesik's case, it's often difficult for authorities to determine for sure who's sending the threatening material and the few people caught rarely face serious consequences.

"The ability to have these kinds of contacts is increasing exponentially. In many ways, the law has not caught up with these changing technologies," said Rob Bovett, an Oregon district attorney whose office prosecuted Gesik's ex-husband, Michael Gladney.

Timothy Heaphy, U.S. attorney for the Western District of Virginia, said criminals' use of social networks to reach witnesses has made his job harder.

"We deal every day with witnesses who are afraid of being identified," he said. "If there are increased instances where folks who are incarcerated can reach outside the walls of the jail, that's going to make it more difficult for us to get cooperation."

In a rare victory, Heaphy's office successfully prosecuted John Conner and Whitney Roberts after they set up a Facebook account that Conner used to intimidate witnesses preparing to testify against him on charges of burning two houses to punish a girlfriend and collect the insurance.

"How the hell can u b a gangsta when u snitchin and lien...," said a post from the pair that publicly exposed one witness who cooperated with law enforcement, according to federal court records.

The issue has emerged as cell phones have proliferated behind bars. In California, home to the nation's largest inmate population, the corrections department confiscated 12,625 phones in just 10 months this year. Six years ago, they found just 261. The number of phones confiscated by the federal Bureau of Prisons has doubled since 2008, to 3,684 last year.

Noting the increase, California legislators approved a law bringing up to six months in jail for corrections employees or visitors who smuggle mobile devices into state prisons, while inmates caught with the phones can now lose up to 180 days of early-release credit. But no additional time is added to their sentence, minimizing the deterrence factor.

In the old days, those behind bars would have to enlist a relative or friend to harass or intimidate to get around no-contact orders. Social networks now cut out the middle man.

In Gesik's case, Gladney used to harass her the old-fashioned way, sending letters and making phone calls through third parties. The Facebook harassment began in June.

Gesik, 44, got prison officials to contact Facebook to remove that account, only to have another message appearing to be from him in September. This time, there was a different spelling of his last name.

"I figure, if he's done all this from in prison, what's he's going to do when he gets out?" Gesik said.

A gap in state law meant that "no contact" orders like the one Gesik obtained against Gladney were deemed not to apply to anyone in custody, said Bovett, the prosecutor. "So they could do these very creative ways of reaching victims through third parties," he said.

Last June, Oregon legislators approved a law prohibiting inmates from contacting their domestic violence victims from behind bars.

In California, prison officials are working with Facebook to identify inmate accounts and take them down. But that only generally happens only after the damage is done.

Karen Carrisosa, who lives in a Sacramento suburb, was aghast when officials found Facebook postings from Corcoran State Prison inmate Fredrick Garner. Garner is serving a 22-year, involuntary manslaughter sentence for killing her husband, 50-year-old Larry Carrisosa, outside a church 11 years ago.

"My kids, they go on Facebook, I go on Facebook, and what if they decide to look us up?" Carrisosa said.

She was alerted by a Sacramento television station that Garner was posting messages to his mother and others. Garner was punished with a 30-day reduction in his early release credits for possessing a forbidden cell phone and has since been transferred to Salinas Valley State Prison.

Hector Garcia Jr. used a smuggled smart phone hidden in his cell at Kern Valley State Prison to rally support on Facebook for an inmate hunger strike this summer that sought improved living conditions for gang leaders housed in special secure cellblocks.

"Starving for my better future," he posted, according a July 1 screen grab from the corrections department. "Let's do this ... statewide..."

The discovery rattled Isabel Gutierrez. Garcia murdered one of her sons and wounded another in January 2005. Now Gutierrez fears her own social-networking left her vulnerable.

"I panicked," she said. "My photos are up of my family and my grandkids. I felt like they can see into my world."

Guards found Garcia's phone, punishing him with a 30-day cut in early-release credits and 30 days' loss of yard, TV and radio privileges.

Attorneys who represented Garcia and Gladney in their previous criminal trials did not return phone calls seeking comment on behalf of their former clients.

Search: 89-year-old waterboarded by caregivers

Search: 89-year-old waterboarded by caregivers, Police: Two Clayton women waterboarded elderly patient, Police in Clayton County have accused two women of holding down a sick 89-year-old woman and waterboarding her.

The arrest warrants paint an ugly picture on how two care-givers treated 89-year-old Anna Foley, who suffered from dementia.

It allegedly happened at an elderly care facility on Mount Zion Boulevard in Jonesboro back in 2008 -- and it's unbelievable how police said it all started.

The arrest warrants said Jermeller Steed and Cicely Reed engaged in an argument with Foley over ice cream and locked her in a shower room, held her down against her will using a shower curtain and held her wrists and arms.

It goes on to say they sprayed water in Foley's face with a shower nozzle, purposely obstructing her breathing, in a manner similar to waterboarding.

Waterboarding is what the Obama administration has banned the government from using against suspected terrorists, but Clayton County authorities said that's what the two women used. woman waterboarded,

The two accused women no longer work at the adult care facility.

CBS Atlanta News went to the address where police said Steed lived three years ago.

Obama video from 1991 surfaces

Obama video from 1991 surfaces, Early video of Obama surfaces from Harvard Law School era. A 20-year-old video clip of Barack Obama hit YouTube on Thursday. The future president appeared on a televised “Black History Minutes” segment in 1991, the same year he graduated from Harvard law school.

The early video, originally broadcast by TBS as a public service announcement, may have been Obama’s first-ever appearance on national television.

The president made this video some five years before running for a state Senate seat in Illinois. The script, which he either memorized or read from a teleprompter, concerned the accomplishments of Charles Hamilton Houston, the African-American lawyer who taught Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall.

Obama’s voice in 1991, far lower-pitched and more measured than what Americans are accustomed to in 2011, is only marginally recognizable.

“The distinguished lawyer Charles Hamilton Houston was born in 1895, eight months before the Supreme Court’s ‘separate but equal’ ruling in Plessy vs. Ferguson. He spent his career fighting to overturn that decision,” Obama intoned. “As director of the NAACP legal campaign, Houston masterminded the strategy that eventually led to the historic decision of Brown vs. Board of Education.”

Presuming the TBS public service announcement ran during February, which is traditionally acknowledged as Black History Month, Obama was 29 years old at the time of the broadcast. He was identified on-screen as editor of the Harvard Law Review. early obama video, harvard law school, obama tbs, tbs

As the 2012 election cycle heats up, the Obama campaign should expect more early videos to be unearthed as Americans take a closer look at the early beliefs of their president. The Daily Caller has already reported on another early video from Obama’s 2004 U.S. Senate campaign, in which he tested talking points that he would become more familiar during his 2008 White House run.

Obama’s approval numbers have fallen precipitously as the economy has deteriorated. Additional vintage videos of the president may yet emerge for the benefit of a public more eager than ever to vet their future leaders.

Natalie Wood 'ear witness' comes forward

Natalie Wood ‘ear Witness’ Comes Forward, Whenever a sensational story such as the re-opening of the police investigation into the 1981 drowning death of actress Natalie Wood breaks, it’s often possible thanks to the Internet to click right through to the heart of the matter. In this case, that would be the PDF of new statements submitted recently to the LA County Sheriff’s office by author Marti Rulli, boat captain Dennis Davern, the actress’ sister Lana and Catalina Island “ear witness” Marilyn Wayne.

Many of the stories hitting the wire this morning from Radar Online, the Daily Mail and other outlets are parsing info from this document. But not getting a lot of media attention, yet, is the fact that Wayne had a further connection to Robert Wagner beyond being moored just 50 feet away from the Splendour that terrible night and knowing him from various Southern California marinas. She was also working at the time as a stockbroker at an LA firm servicing Wagner; in her statement, she details a frightening subsequent office incident:

I had a “client box’” designed for clients to drop off their messages through a slot in the front. The boxes were opened in the back, labeled by broker name on each end. Three days after Natalie died, I found a scribbled message on a torn piece of paper in my box that read, “If you value your life, keep quiet about what you know.”

I immediately suspected it was related to Natalie Wood’s death because that’s all anyone had been talking about. I was disturbed and even told an attorney about the threat.
